In the past, there are so much HeChong in every town of Panyu
districtĦŻs paddy rice production area. It is a traditional product
of Panyu. Over nearly 10 years, as a result of the agricultural
chemicals and chemical fertilizer being used more, the HeChong output
has obviously decreased. Shilou town of Panyu district is situated
at the Pearl River bank, the thick earth and water quality are good
in Shilou Town. Many farmers master basic techniques of breeding
HeChong. HeChong in this town is Strong and rich meat, golden,
tasty, rich in protein. It is well-known and popular in the Panyu
district, the neighboring county city , Hong Kong and
MacaoĦĦĦĦIn order to develop and improve benefits of the traditional famous agricultural production, In 2000 the Panyu district brought an agriculture industrialization project into HeChong breeding base. Through the perfect farmland road network, the improvement of working conditions, the summary and the promoted standing grain insects cultivates and breed, causing the output and benefit to be enhanced gradually. Some villages breed HeChong, for example, Shabei, Shanan, Jiangou, Haixing, Yufeng and so on. The total area is more than 8,100 mu, the production is constantly expanding. At present, the harvest of fresh HeChong is more than 80 tons, It becomes an important way which the partial farmers increase income. ĦĦĦĦHeChong get twice a year. Some farmers has changed seasonal characteristics. The first harvest time is during May and June when the summer rice tassel, and the second harvest time is during September and October when the Autumn rice tassel. |
